Mid-funnel campaign
Overview
We’re proud to say that we helped launch the Straight Talk brand back in 2009. We’ve produced several broadcast, digital and in-store commercials for them through the years and it’s been a fun journey supporting such a disruptive and innovative brand.
The Brief
Produce a mid-funnel series that educates potential Straight Talk customers to switch.
Drive home that with Straight Talk, you get the same phones and networks, but for less.
The Hero Videos
The brand story in this campaign is designed to encompass everything that the brand has to offer. The trick was to create a brand film that carried the brand personality and clearly laid out the selling points of Straight Talk. Filmed in one day in Elysian Park in Los Angeles, the cast and crew did a fantastic job producing this much content in one day.
Brand Story
A large barrier for Straight Talk was convincing potential customers that they’d get the same great service, but for less. In keeping with Straight Talk’s 4th-wall breaking national campaign, we decided to develop a casual conversation between friends that walks us through the straight talk of overpaying for the same things.
Network story
The Supporting assets
Along with the brand and network story, Straight Talk was in need of other videos that explained their various selling points. In fact, all of the brands in Tracfone Wireless, Inc.’s portfolio needed assets explaining how “No Contract”, “Keep Your Own Phone”, and “Lease To Own Phone Plan” worked and the many benefits of these initiatives. So, we developed a complimentary campaign that could be versioned for multiple brands.
The result was a 3 day production where we filmed 3 videos - ultimately versioning each video for Straight Talk, Tracfone, Net10 and Simple Mobile and boosting sales conversions on all of the brand websites.
