“magnetic” & “The hum” music video film
Overview
When we heard Unwritten Law’s new record, we loved the cohesive sound and recurring themes that the record had. The band had an idea to do an entire album film and we loved that idea! Long story short, we developed an hour-long film script that took us through the entire album. But, in the age-old tale of Hollywood, we secured funding for the project and started pre-production — only to have it dissolve a couple weeks later as COVID changed the landscape and marketing plan for the record.
Not wanting a great idea to die, the band pushed for us to to produce the essence of the film in a 2-part music video film. The result is “Magnetic and The Hum”.
Production took place over 4 days, with post-production finishing the video in just under 2 weeks. It was filmed with a very minimal crew, with most of us wearing multiple hats.
The video stars Tyler Posey (MTV’s Teen Wolf) and international model Tehya Elam. To date, it’s amassed over 700,000 views on Instagram and over 35,000 on YouTube.
